Welcome

Christ Church stands on Capitol Square and welcomes neighbors from across Raleigh. You step into a historic sanctuary where prayer, Scripture, and the sacraments shape weekly life. The building is beautiful, but the focus stays on people. Greeters offer a bulletin and help you find seating. Ushers assist with communion and answer questions with care. If you arrive with children, the nursery and children’s formation rooms are close to the main entrance and clearly marked.

Worship follows an Episcopal order that is both structured and warm. You will hear readings from the Bible, a sermon that applies the text, and prayers for the city and the world. The choir leads hymns and service music. Visitors often note the calm pace and clear directions throughout the service. If you are new to liturgical worship, the bulletin and screens guide you each step of the way. You can relax and participate as you feel ready.

Formation and service run through the life of Christ Church. Children and youth gather in age based groups that teach faith in simple terms. Adults join classes and small groups that meet on Sundays and during the week. You can serve neighbors through local partners who address hunger, housing, and education. If you want to explore baptism or confirmation, clergy will meet with you and outline next steps. If you have questions about faith, you will find patient listeners and clear answers.

What to expect

Arrive early to park and walk to the entrance on Wilmington Street. Greeters will help you get settled. The service includes Scripture, a sermon, creeds, prayers, and communion. The tone remains reverent and welcoming. During the peace, members greet one another and welcome guests. After worship, coffee and conversations give you a chance to meet people and ask questions. During the week, the campus hosts studies, rehearsals, and outreach gatherings.

Plan your visit

Before you come, review visitor details on the church website, including entrances and parking. If you need accessible seating or assistance, contact the office. You will find a community ready to receive you, pray with you, and serve with you. Take your next step and join us this Sunday.
